My Story: Sitting on the Other Side of the Therapy Chair

Therapy may seem terrifying, but I learned it doesn’t have to be. The first time I saw a therapist was in my second year of college. I was dealing with the loss of a relationship, working full-time, and trying to focus on my studies.

I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders as my anxiety and fears echoed louder and louder. I was confused and overwhelmed.

Eventually, through my work in therapy, everything became clear. I discovered I’d been walking through life with a foggy lens. The ability to live differently – brighter – had been inconceivable.

As I understood things clearly, I realized that a brighter life, one much different than the one I knew and experienced, was achievable.

I understood that relief is always possible!

As I did, you too can live a life that you imagine for yourself. You’re capable of untethering yourself from the emotional bondage that keeps you stuck.

My experience as a therapy client is the reason that I became a therapist. I want you and others to experience the profound reality that you can heal and have a more rewarding life.
