Purpose of the Guided Meditation Group

The Guided Meditation Group is a weekly small group of individuals who want help managing their mental health symptoms.

It is a supportive space where you’ll be guided in a meditation to improve your coping skills and reduce depression, anxiety, or other problems.

Each week, after the meditation, you’ll be able to discuss your experience and insights with the group facilitator and other group members on a similar journey.

Healing can often happen more quickly in a safe and supportive environment where others have the same concerns as you do.

Who Should Attend this Group?

Anyone experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, or any other mental health issue is encouraged to attend.

Beginners or experienced meditators are all welcome!

How the Guided Meditation Group Works

The group facilitator will guide you in meditation to help you focus your attention, relax your body and mind, and become more aware of your thoughts and emotions to manage them better.

Each week the guided meditation will have a different focus to help you improve your overall wellness (see examples of topics below).

Guided meditation can make it easier to meditate because your facilitator tells you where to focus your attention as you meditate. All you have to do is follow the facilitator’s voice.

During the last part of each session, there will be a group discussion where you can share your experience with others if you wish and ask questions.
