My Story: A Strong Desire to Help People Reach Their Potential

I’m a licensed social worker with over 20 years of experience. I’m bilingual and bicultural, fluent in both English and Spanish.

I obtained my Master of Social Work degree from Hunter College, specializing in administration and clinical practice.

Throughout my career, I have held roles in social work administration as well as counseling. My expertise lies in the areas of mental health, chemical dependency, and providing trauma-informed, client-centered care.

I am deeply passionate about serving others and grateful for the opportunity to help create a positive impact in their journey towards personal growth and living their best life.

I find great fulfillment in being part of my clients’ process as they discover more about themselves and develop the skills and strategies to make healthy life choices.

With my extensive experience, I bring a sensitive, compassionate, and empathetic approach to the care I provide.

I create a safe, nurturing, and non-judgmental environment where you can overcome challenges, heal from traumas, and break down barriers through experiential therapy.

My experience, knowledge, and skills can help support your quest to become all you desire.

I’ve worked with a wide range of clients from all walks of life, including:

  • Adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, including cultural or generational trauma, or have relationship problems
  • Teens who have had a traumatic or distressing experience or are struggling in some aspect of their lives
  • Parents of teens who want help in supporting their teens

My Therapy Approach

The mind can produce good or bad fruits based on the type of “fertilizer” you feed it. When you feed your mind strong, positive, and healing thoughts, your feelings also become more positive, and you feel better about yourself.

To help you have a more positive mindset, I use evidenced-based and highly effective therapy methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Therapy, and other leading approaches to empower you or your teen child.

While therapy can be very effective, it requires a commitment – what you put into your therapy sessions will determine what you get out of treatment.

I help ensure that we work in a way that is unique to you so that you are highly engaged in the therapy process and achieve your goals.

  • I provide many tools, techniques, and resources to help you as you walk through life outside of therapy sessions.
  • I have experience working in organizations specializing in child sexual abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, and trauma.
