My Story: Transforming Silence into Support
As a child growing up in Harlem, NY, I witnessed trauma in various forms without having a socially appropriate outlet to express my feelings. I watched friends and family endure the silence of their loved ones suffering from mental illness without any interventions in place. I remember thinking two things, “this is a lonely world,” and “I can’t believe we have to figure this out by ourselves.” I began pouring my attention into learning about mental health and how I can help others help themselves.
What began as a personal search for understanding has grown into a professional commitment to guide others through their own journeys of healing. Trauma and support are my inspirations. I value teaching others self-love by helping them learn to find comfort in trusting their gut, identifying reliable and consistent connections, and strengthening social networks to maintain lifelong support. I believe in empathy, compassion, and encouragement. I also understand that everyone has a path they take to get to their goal. I am that person who will root you on.

Who I Work With
I work with individuals across the lifespan — from teens learning to manage stress and identity, to adults navigating trauma, anxiety, or life transitions, and older adults adjusting to new stages of life. My clients come from diverse communities, cultural backgrounds, and identities, and I honor the uniqueness of each person’s story. No matter where you are on your journey, my goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel supported, empowered, and understood.
I support clients working through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, setting boundaries, grief and loss, relationship concerns, aging and life transitions such as moving, career changes, adjusting to new family roles, and clients struggling with stress management and chronic mental conditions. I also provide support for clients exploring identity-related concerns, including gender identity, gender transitions, sexual orientation, and the unique challenges faced by transgender and LGBTQ+ individuals. In addition, I help people strengthen resilience, improve communication, expand social support, and cultivate a deeper sense of self-love and self-trust. My goal is to empower each person to move from surviving to thriving, with tools they can carry into every stage of life.
My Therapy Approach
My work is grounded in a trauma-informed and client-centered approach. I draw on evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and Spiritual Practices, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strengths-Based strategies. I also integrate mindfulness techniques and holistic practices to support the mind-body connection. Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual, blending structure with flexibility so clients feel empowered, supported, and equipped with practical tools for real-life challenges.
When you step into a session with me, you can expect a safe, welcoming space where you don’t have to carry your struggles alone. I see therapy as a partnership — we work together, side by side, to explore your story and uncover your strengths. Sessions are supportive, compassionate, and guided by your goals, whether that’s finding relief from stress, navigating life transitions, or learning new ways to cope with challenges. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, encouraged, and equipped with tools you can use both now and throughout your life.
What makes my approach unique is the balance I bring between evidence-based strategies and genuine human connection. I tailor each session to the individual, blending structure with flexibility, and always honoring the client’s pace. While I take the work of healing seriously, I also believe in the power of humor to lighten difficult moments and create a sense of ease in our conversations. Clients often find that laughter, alongside compassion, can be just as healing as the deeper work we do together.
