My Story: A Passion for Advocacy and Supporting Others

I’ve been interested in mental health for as long as I can remember, which led me to become a Mental Health Intake Coordinator.

I’m passionate about making a difference – big or small. I want to know that my time spent on Earth made a difference in some way, shape, or form.

I also love being organized and know how daunting the administrative side of having a private practice can be.

Our therapists at Open-Minded Therapy want to focus on their clients doing the work they love and providing the best service they can. I love lightening the load for them and ensuring all systems to run the practice are streamlined and working effectively for our clients.

My Role Here at Open Minded Therapy

I assist the Open-Minded Therapy practice with scheduling client sessions and ensuring tasks get completed efficiently.

When you become a client, you’ll communicate with me via phone or email to complete your intake forms, book your sessions and answer questions you may have about working with your therapist.

I’ll also assist with insurance verification and will be available to support you with any administrative questions or concerns you have.

My strengths are in organizing and assessing the needs of the practice and our therapists. I create solutions and systems to help the practice run more efficiently.

My ultimate goal is to ensure that our clients’ and therapists’ needs are met creating a supportive mental health environment for all.

A Bit About Me Personally

I practice what I preach. I use many coping strategies taught at Open Minded-Therapy, including setting appropriate boundaries with people and practicing self-care.

I have a passion for reading and do it any chance I get. At the park, at home, during a break, or at a restaurant.

I also enjoy treating myself to things that increase my joy, whether it’s a facial, massage, a spa day, or taking myself out to dinner. I also love word searches and adult coloring books/apps.

My philosophy on life: We all make mistakes and do things that we’re not proud of.

How you treat yourself and what you do to make things better matter much more than the mistake itself. You speak to yourself the most, make sure you are speaking with love.
