Psychotherapy Services and Integrated Health Care

Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is a way to help people with a variety of psychological and emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms so a person can function better and can increase well-being and healing.

Problems helped by psychotherapy include difficulties in coping with daily life; the impact of trauma, depression, anxiety, grief or addiction. There are several different types of psychotherapy and some types may work better with certain problems or issues. At Open-Minded Therapy, LCSW, PLLC, we use a combination of psychotherapy and integrated health to increase stabilization and balance in our client’s life.

So, what is Integrated health care?

Integrated health care is an approach characterized by a high degree of collaboration and communication among health professionals. What makes integrated health care unique is the sharing of information among team members related to client care and the establishment of a comprehensive treatment plan to address the biological, psychological and social needs of the client. Ultimately, the underlying principle of this integration is that our physical, behavioral, and social health are inextricably intertwined.

Within our practice, Integrated health care helps to connect our therapists and nurse practitioners together to collaborate with each other and our clients to address behavioral health factors and related medical conditions that affect health and well-being. Therefore, it is important that you meet with both our care providers to help optimize your overall success outcome.
